Farm & Agricultural Disclaimer
Last updated: September 2026 · Alworawa Landscapes & Farm, Rusinga Island, Kenya
1. General Information Purpose
The agronomy notes, seasonal logs, knowledge manuals, and farming practices presented on this website or during farm walkthroughs are shared for educational and demonstration purposes. While based on real results from our 1-acre solar model farm on Rusinga Island, agricultural success varies with soil structure, water availability, rainfall patterns, and local management.
2. Seedling Survival & Crop Yields
We operate a dedicated seedling nursery with high hardening standards and provide post-planting guidance. However, actual tree survival and harvest weights are contingent upon post-collection factors including:
- Regularity and volume of irrigation or rainfall after transplanting.
- Protection from livestock browsing and harsh winds.
- Proper soil aeration, mulching, and biological companion defense against pests.
We do not warrant or guarantee identical crop yields across different geographic plots or microclimates.
3. On-Farm Visitor Safety
Alworawa is an active working agricultural and nursery facility. By visiting the farm property on Rusinga Island, guests acknowledge and agree to the following safety precautions:
- Visitors must stay on designated footpaths and follow the instructions of the lead agronomist or tour guide.
- Lake water pumps, solar array equipment, electrical inverters, and high-pressure drip lines are off-limits for tampering.
- Natural terrain near Lake Victoria shores may be uneven; suitable outdoor footwear is mandatory.
- Alworawa is not responsible for personal property lost or damaged during visits.
4. Herbal & Botanical Plants
Our Herbal Companion Garden includes indigenous plants such as Mexican Sunflower, Neem, Lemongrass, and Tagetes (Marigold) used for natural botanical pest control and ecological soil balance. Information provided regarding these plants does not constitute human medical advice.
